COLOR CONTRASTS ON THE LUNAR SURFACE,

Abstract

On the basis of colored photographs and spectrophotometric observations of the moon, it was concluded that together with dark greenish species on the moon, dark red spots and lines are also present. It is believed that these colored shades on the moon, as on earth, must be due mainly to iron combinations which are usual for rock formations.
