METHODOLOGY UTILIZED IN THE DETERMINATION OF WEAPONS SYSTEM ACCURACY REQUIREMENTS,

Abstract

The determination of Weapons System Accuracy Requirements is dependent upon the function of the system and accuracy bounds of the component parts of the total system. Briefly discussed are accuracy models for three of the system components. Of these, two idealized models for Target Location are considered. Futhermore, an analogue device is proposed for studying the effects of Weapons Orientation and Delivery Errors. Problems of amalgamation of errors compatible with restraints on the system and suggestion for handling them conclude the paper. (Author)
