THE INFINITE SERVER QUEUE WITH COMPOUND RENEWAL INPUT,
Abstract
A number of different situations which arise in variousontexts can be described as realizations of the basic mathematical model of a queue with compound renewal input. This mathematical model is analyzed in general, and various special cases obtained by restricting the input or output distributions are considered. Applications to some specific situations are also indicated.
