DERIVATION OF 3 DIMENSIONAL TRAJECTORY EQUATIONS FOR A LIFTING RE-ENTRY VEHICLE,

Abstract

This memorandum presents the equations of motion of a lifting re-entry vehicle. They are derived in a form particularly suitable for mechanization on an analog computer. The vehicle is assumed to behave as if it were a point mass moving over a spherical, non-rotating earth which is assumed to be fixed in inertial space.
