FREE TRANSVERSE VIBRATIONS OF AN INCOMPRESSIBLE ELASTIC MASS CONTAINED BY AN INFINITELY LONG, RIGID, CIRCULAR-CYLINDRICAL TANK,
Abstract
Natural circular frequencies of free transverse vibrations of an incompressible elastic mass contained by an infinitely long, rigid, circular-cylindrical tank are obtained as exact solutions of the equations of elasticity. Frequency coefficients are tabulated for solid and hollow cores and for, at least, four frequencies in each of the first four modes of vibration. (Author)
