THE EFFECTIVE HALF LIFE OF ZN65 IN BEAGLE DOGS,

Abstract

The effective half life of zinc65 was determined in five male beagle dogs following intravenous injection of the radioisotope. Whole-body counting techniques were utilized to measure the amount of Zn65 retained with reference to time. Individual effective half lives are graphically depicted. The mean effective half life of Zn65 was found to be 626=133 hours. A correlation was noted between body weight and magnitude of the half life. (Author)
