UNIVERSAL COVERING SPACES AS SPECIAL AND UNIVERSAL SOLUTIONS.

Abstract

During the three contract years the principal investigator studied several problems which, under the influence of category theory, arose from a closer look at universal covering spaces. These included: (a) the foundation problem; (b) the universal covering problem; (c) the adjoint homomorphism problem; (d) the lifting problem and (e) the additivity problem in Abelian categories.
