PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR THE IMPROVED RELIABILITY OF SOLID TANTALUM CAPACITORS.

Abstract

Data are presented showing the relative capabilities of the various vendors' materials. These include finished device parameters and formation breakdown voltage. Under the formation studies, a method was developed which precisely determines the relative forming voltage ability of sintered anodes, regardless of size, weight, density, etc. This method is fully described herein. All experimental data accumulated to date are presented, with the area of process study noted for each experiment. (Author)
