THE TWINNED SPACE FLIGHTS OF VOSTOK-5 AND VOSTOK-6, PT. II,

Abstract

A popularized account is given of results of measurements of space environmental conditions by instruments aboard Vostok-5 and Vostok-6. The investigations concerned the concentration of charged particles and the 'soft' component of ionizing radiation in the upper atmosphere; the terrestrial magnetic field; the density of the upper atmosphere; and the effects of micrometeorites and cosmic dust.
