INPUT-OUTPUT EXPERIMENT.

Abstract

The objective of the suggested Input-Output experiment was to determine the feasibility of using auroral phenomena to simulate the ionizing effects produced by high-altitude nuclear detonations. Present objectives are focused primarily on the measurement and quantitative correlation of precipitated particles, optical luminosity, and ionization in auroras as well as on the evaluation of the present understanding of particle-atmosphere interaction processes.
