PRACTICAL METHODS OF NUMERICAL WEATHER PREDICTION,

Abstract

Contemporary hydrodynamic and statistical methods of numerical weather prediction applied in operational work of the forecastings service and method of numerical (objective) analysis of meteorological data are considered. There are discussed principles of programming for electronic computers and application of these machines in problems of forecasting. For facilitating the reading there are presented certain data from higher mathematics and dynamic meteorology. The book is intended for a wide circle of meteorologists, synoptical and practicing meteorologists of operational subdivisions of forecasting service and for students. (Author)
