CURRENT STATUS OF THE TECHNOLOGY OF TRAINING

Abstract

A brief overview of the current status of the technology of training is presented. The processes involved in design ing a training system are arbitrarily analyzed into the following three areas: (1) determining training requirements, (2) developing the training environment, and (3) measuring the results of training. In each of these areas, an attempt is made to summarize and evaluate the adequacy of our technology. In a final section of the report, certain areas of research which appear to be especially promising are discussed.
