SICK CALL AS A CRITERION OF ADJUSTMENT AT THE UNITED STATES MILITARY ACADEMY,

Abstract

In the present study, cadet sick call visits were analyzed to provide information concerning: (a) the seasonal distribution of sick call rates according to type of medical problem; (b) the relationship between sick call rates and the day of the week (for example, higher on 'Blue Monday' than on Friday); (c) the relationship between sick call rates and certain special days such as holidays, and days when there are required inspections, parades, or reviews; and (d) the relationship between sick call rates and certain aspects of personality.
