METHODS FOR LOWER BOUNDS TO FREQUENCIES OF CONTINUOUS ELASTIC SYSTEMS,

Abstract

The article presents recently developed mathematical methods for the calculation of rigorous lower bounds for the frequencies of continuous linear elastic systems in free vibration. The formulation of these techniques makes them applicable to a wide class of elastic theories.
