PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE. RELIABILITY THRU PROCESS IMPROVEMENT (2N1506).

Abstract

Basic process improvements have been incorporated into the production of the 2N1506A, PT531, PT613 families in the specified areas of material evaluation, impurity diffusion, contact metallizing, contact lead attachment, collector attachment, final preparation prior to sealing and cap welding. The result of these improvements has been the attainment of the purpose of the contract for a maximum failure rate of .01%/1000 hours in operating life at 25C at a 90% confidence level. (Author)
