SPECTRA AND AUTOCORRELATION FUNCTIONS FOR FULLY DEVELOPED SEAS AND PREDICTION OF STRUCTURAL FATIGUE DAMAGE,

Abstract

This report analyzes the Pierson-Moskowitz spectrum for fully developed seas and obtains further properties about its structure. Results are obtained for two distinct applications: (1) determination of corresponding auto correlation function, and (2) prediction of possible associated structural fatigue damage for single degree-offreedom systems.
