A PARADIGM FOR SYSTEM ANALYSIS OF COMMAND AND CONTROL FUNCTIONS.

Abstract

It is shown in the report that the mating of stimulus to response (S - R) is only part of the total picture. A paradigm conceived in the course of system analysis activities which presents many more behavioral functions is introduced. The new paradigm is that of Stimulus Organism - Response (S - O - R). The evolution of the paradigm is presented, its usefulness in system analysis is illustrated, and its relationship to individual behavior is demonstrated.
