RADIATIVE FLOWS ABOUT CONES AND WEDGES,

Abstract

Radiative flows about reentering interplanetary vehicles are studied by the analysis of flows past cones and wedges using optically-thin gray gas assumptions. A numerical procedure based on the one-layer method of integral relation of Dorodnitsyn is described, and analytical solutions are presented. The analysis is applicable for gases at equilibrium or frozen conditions. (Author)
