FOUR TOPICS PERTINENT TO SEDIMENT TRANSPORT AND SCOUR.

Abstract

Four subjects which are of interest in sediment transport and scour studies are discussed. They are (1) transition of oscillatory boundary-layer flow, (2) the effect of uplift on incipient motion of bed particles, (3) a theoretical and experimental investigation of flow under a partially-imbedded cylinder, and (4) scour.
