A STUDY OF PLASMA STABILITY IN MICROWAVE CAVITIES BY A FREQUENCY-SHIFT ANALOG,

Abstract

An equation is derived which relates the pressure change at a perturbed microwave cavity boundary to the change in resonant frequency of the cavity. The equation is used to obtain information on the stability of a plasma confined by microwave fields. (Author)
