INVESTIGATION OF THE MECHANISM OF STRESS CORROSION OF ALUMINUM ALLOYS

Abstract

This report summarizes work on the development of a suitable experimental technique for the precise measurement of the potentials required for cathodic protection, as a means of establishing the potential of phases in an alloy; and to measurement of these potentials in 7075 alloy in tempers susceptible and non-susceptible to stress corrosion.
