CONTROLLED ELECTRON BUNCHER,

Abstract

A method is described for forming and accelerating isolated high density bunches of electrons. The device is capable of either repetitive or single-shot operation. A theoretical treatment is given and experimental results are discussed. Nine experimental models were fabricated and the principles of operation were demonstrated. (Author)
