MEASUREMENT OF THE SIZE SPECTRUM OF CLOUD AND FOG PARTICLES

Abstract

A photoelectric method of measuring the size distribution of particles in clouds and fogs is described. This method is based on efficient use of the scattering function of spherical transparent particles. The method was tested and rated under laboratory conditions, and the results are given of measurements of the size spectrum of particles under natural conditions.
