ELECTRICAL AND OPTICAL PROPERTIES OF ORGANIC SOLIDS.

Abstract

The crystalline phase imparts to optically stimulated molecular transitions frequency shifts, intensity changes, and other peculiar effects. These effects have increasingly been recognized as arising from significant and character istic behavior of weakly interacting molecules. The paper discusses those phenomena surrounding the injection of charge into molecular crystals and the behavior of charge and energy in its migration and degradation within the bulk of a molecular crystal.
