MOBILITY AND SOUND RADIATION MEASUREMENTS ON A CYLINDRICAL GLASS-REINFORCED-PLASTIC MODEL,

Abstract

Vibration and sound radiation characteristics are determined for a 6-in. ID, 28-in. long, internally ring-stiffened, glass-reinforced-plastic cylinder in the frequency range of 200 to 5300 cps. Drive-point mobility, an estimate of damping ratio, the mode shapes of resonant frequencies, and the sound pressure directivity patterns at resonances are presented. (Author)
