THE STRESS RELIEF OF TITANIUM WELDS FOR LOW-TEMPERATURE APPLICATIONS

Abstract

Stress-relaxation annealing times and temperatures for different alloys are presented. The actual temperature and time should be determined for each heat of base metal, base-metal filler-metal combination, base-metal condition, and weld structure because they can vary with any or all of these variables.
