ELECTROMAGNETIC TEST CONTROL REQUIREMENTS,

Abstract

Three areas which require control in electromagnetic nondestructive testing are identified. The magnetic field strength of the test, magnetic history of the part, and heating of the test standard can and have seriously affected results in magnetic testing in critical programs. Experiments conducted indicate how these factors influence test results, and techniques are recommended whereby adequate procedures can be established. (Author)
