REVIEW OF THEORETICAL INVESTIGATIONS ON THE EFFECT OF HEAT TRANSFER ON LAMINAR SEPARATION,

Abstract

A review is made of theoretical investigations on the effect of heat transfer on laminar separation in classical steady two-dimensional high-speed or low-speed boundary-layer flow. Particular emphasis is placed on the effect of wall temperature on the location of the separation point. An Appendix gives a review of results on the effect of Mach Number on the laminar separation point for a linearly diminishing external velocity and zero heat transfer. (Author)
