WAKE ANALYSIS OF SHIP MODELS TWIN-SCREW MILITARY TYPES,

Abstract

The report, the second of a series on studies of the wake in the propeller plane of ship models, presents the results of analysis of the wake of twin-screw, military-type ship models using the IBM-7090 computer. The data presented are the interpolated longitudinal and tangential velocity distributions, their computed mean values, the harmonic contents of these velocity components, the maximum variations in the resultant inflow velocity, and the advance angles and their variations. Also included are the calculated volumetric wake velocities. (Author)
