INVESTIGATION OF SOLID STATE DEVICES AND CIRCUITS.

Abstract

The report is concerned with the development of tunnel diode circuitry and an experimental and theoretical investigation of semi-conductor devices and characteristics. The application of tunnel diodes to linear circuits such as amplifiers, oscillators and negative resistance filters was investigated. Consideration was also given to their use in pulse circuits. Studies of the properties of conventional and unconventional junctions were made. Special semiconductor devices were fabricated and evaluated. Such devices include thin film tunnel triodes and a unipolar field effect transistor. (Author)
