PRODUCTION ENGINEERING MEASURE FOR IMPROVED RELIABILITY OF SOLID ELECTROLYTE TANTALUM CAPACITORS.

Abstract

Work was completed on the following tasks: welding, quality control of welding, quality control of anodization and reformation, and quality control of metallic cathode connection. The laboratory phase of presintering was completed and work begun in the factory. Laboratory studies of sintering were initiated. Work on Manganese Dioxide deposition and soldering continued in the factory. Processing and materials specifications were begun, and a Process Inspection Point Control System was established.
