ELECTRIC AND MAGNETIC PROPERTIES OF THERMALLY TREATED FERROCENE BASE POLYMERS,

Abstract

It was shown that the semiconductor properties of ferrocene base polymers are determined not only by the degree of conjugation along the individual polymeric chain, but mainly by the nature of packing and interaction of macromolecules in the polymer. The data obtained are in conformity with the assumption that the noticeable ferromagnetism of ferrocene polymers, which have been pressed and heated in vacuum, one cannot completely exclude the possibility of thermal decomposition of the polymer with the formation of ordinary ferromagnetic iron compounds.
