PROGRAM TO DEVELOP A 12 INCH DIAMETER FIBER OPTIC FACEPLATE CATHODE RAY TUBE.

Abstract

The purpose of this program is to develop, fabricate and supply two fiber optic faceplate cathode-ray tubes, having the electrical characteristics of the 12BCP19. These tubes will be suitable for testing in the AN/SYA-4(V) Console Data Input Display. The basic and component designs were completed and components were ordered. The electron gun design was evaluated for possible difficulties in manufacture and a method for pretesting the electron guns was developed.
