A TURBULENT BOUNDARY-LAYER CALCULATION METHOD BASED ON THE LAW OF THE WALL AND THE LAW OF THE WAKE

Abstract

The report presents the theoretical development of a method for calculating the incompressible turbulent boundary layer based on the 'law of the wall' and the 'law of the wake.' This development was carried out to provide a more rigorous solution of the boundary-layer equations for turbulent flow, in order to obtain an improved technique for estimating the inflow velocity profiles to propellers and the skin-friction drag of bodies of revolution.
