COHERENT LIGHT INVESTIGATION, VOLUME III,

Abstract

This volume presents an essentially new theory for analyzing optical systems in terms of transfer functions and presents discussions of optical systems employed normally with coherent light. This volume also discusses the general theory of holograms and complex spatial filters. The production of two-and three-dimensional holograms using coherent light and its implications for synthetic antenna applications, complex filters, matched filters and general filtering systems are described. Practical details on experimental results are also given. Also, in this volume is contained discussions on the use of a laser for measurements of target acceleration and rotation rates and on the problem of testing large reflective optics. (Author)
