Abstract
Announcement is made of the names of candidates for the office of academician within the USSR Academy of Sciences. These are presented on the basis of the April 29, 1962, notification, with the names of organizations and persons proposing the candidates. The candidates are for appointment within the following de partments: Department of Chemical Sciences; Department of Geological-Geographical Sciences; Department of Biological Sciences; Department of Technical Sciences; Department of Historical Sciences; and the Department of Economic, Philosophical, and Legal Sciences.
