AN EXTENSION OF THE NEWTON-KANTOROVIC METHOD FOR SOLVING NONLINEAR EQUATIONS,

Abstract

Nonlinear integral equations (from elasticity theory), viewed in a Banach space are solved by Newton's method for varying load parameter. A change of parameter permits continued application of the method near critical loads. (Author)
