A NUMERICAL APPROACH TO BIHARMONIC PROBLEMS. PART I,

Abstract

A new numerical method is described for biharmonic problems. The essence of the technique is to combine variational and difference methods in approximating a functional for which the biharmonic equation is an Euler equation. Typical problems and computer results are described. (Author)
