PROCEEDINGS OF THE SYMPOSIUM ON SOIL-STRUCTURE INTERACTION, UNIVERSITY OF ARIZONA, TUCSON, ARIZONA, 8-11 JUNE, 1964

Abstract

The objective of the symposium was to review the present status of the art and science of underground survival construction design. The papers were presented by representatives of government installations, private research organizations, universities, and other educational institutions. The general areas covered were (1) wave propagation in soil media, (2) ground motion and instrumentation, (3) analytical and experimental studies, (4) similitude and model studies, and (5) design and prototype studies.
