RADIATION AND OZONE INITIATED GRAFT COPOLYMERIZATION.

Abstract

Radiation and ozone initiated graft copolymerization reactions were investigated for the synthesis of new technologically useful elastomers. Significant grafting was observed for many of the various combinations of monomers and polymers investigated. Radiation initiated vinylidene chloride-SBR and ozone initiated acrylonitrileSBR graft copolymers are of particular interest since they exhibit improved oil resistance. (Author)
