The following eight projects are discussed: (1) Acoustic wave amplification studies; (2) Optical masers; (3) Diffraction of light waves by hypersound; (4) Transient effects in optical masers; (5) Electron-phonon interactions; (6) Interaction of spin waves and electrons; (7) Geometrical optics of acoustic waves; and (8) Raman scattering from birefringent crystals.
