TOWARD A SYSTEM MODEL OF HUMAN COMMUNICATION,

Abstract

A model of a minimum set of subsystems contributing to the total system of human communication is hypothesized in which are identified four 'domains': a referent world, a formulator, an interpreter, and signs. The usefulness of the model relies on its apparent independence from metaphysical conflicts. (Author)
