RESEARCH ON CDTE,
Abstract
This report summarizes results of a three-year program of basic research on CdTe, a semiconducting compound of interest for solar battery and injection luminescence applications. These studies have been concerned with the physical chemistry of the system Cd-Te and with investigations of intrinsic properties and properties of native defects of high-purity CdTe single crystals. Both optical and electrical techniques have been employed. Fourteen publications resulting from this work are cited by abstract. Preliminary manuscripts of two additional unpublished studies are included in their entirety. (Author)
