AN INTRODUCTION TO ERROR CONTROL TECHNIQUES,

Abstract

The objective of this report is to formulate a common structure in which may be imbedded various techniques for the control of errors in communication systems. The relationship between digital error-correction and errordetection coding techniques and modulation systems is examined. A brief exposition is presented on the more promising techniques which have been proposed for digital coding. The report concludes with recommendations for future investigations. (Author)
