ASTOUNDING AUTOMATS,
Abstract
A system of standard pneumatic devices and parts is discussed which includes 24 standard items executing the simplest operations: pneumo relay, comparison elements, memories, summation, pneumoresistors, pneumatic capacitances, amplifiers, and repeaters. The system was constructed with the same principles that are used in radioelectronics. Its elements perform the same functions as radio components. Structurally, the elements of pneumoautomation also resemble radioelectronic items. They are mounted on a plate, with the aid of brass shanks. This allows them to be easily and rapidly mounted and replaced. Connection between elements is realized through openings in the 'shanks' and ducts in the transparent organic glass plates.
