ANALYTICAL INVESTIGATION OF COMBUSTION INSTABILITY IN SOLID PROPELLANT ROCKETS.

Abstract

Progress is reported on studies concerning the use of a fluid dynamic model for the combustion zone of a solid propellant rocket undergoing erosive burning. Work involved the debugging of a computer program, trial calculations using the program, and a study of the gas-phase reaction kinetics involved in nitrocellulosenitroglycerin combustion.
