SUMMARY OF AUTOMATED ENVIRONMENTAL DATA COLLECTED OFF PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA, JUNE 1962 DECEMBER 1964,

Abstract

The data acquisition and telemetry equipment is on two fixed platforms which are 11 and 1.6 nautical miles offshore. The system is designed to simultaneously serve two major functions. One is the semi-continuous acquisition of 'background' environmental information. The second is the continuous or semi-continuous acquisition of data prescribed for individual studies or experiments. Brief descriptions of system arrangement, functions, engineering characteristics and data handling procedures insofar as they are pertinent to general evaluations and use of the data system generates are given. A tabulation of the parameters time periods of collection for data taken between June 1962 and October 1964 is included. These data are available for processing.
