A CROSS LINKED POLYMER STANDARD. FIRST REPORT ON POLYMER SELECTION.

Abstract

A series of 12 different cross-linked polymers were screened as possible standards for viscoelasticity studies. Characteristics examined were glass transition temperature, optical clearness, stress optical sensitivity, reproducibility, mode of preparation, chemical stability before and after curing, swelling, sol fraction, chemical structure, crystal structure, and ease of structural variability.
