VOLTAGE-ON-DEMAND CIRCUIT FOR FAST MAGNETIC DEFLECTION.

Abstract

An output circuit for fast push-pull operation of magnetic deflection yokes is presented. Transistors or tubes may be used to drive the yoke. The circuit permits the driver units to run at a low average power dissipation, and furnishes voltages proportional to the individual yoke currents for feedback purposes. Detailed large-signal analyses are developed for operation with and without clamping, leading to the formulation of design criteria and performance expressions. (Author)
