Through a method of C. Somigliana (Atti Reale Accademia Lincei, Roma, Ser. 5, 1, 2, 111, 1892), a complete stress-function solution and an associated displacement decomposition are given for the linearized theory of dynamic incompressible elasticity. (Author)
